The twelve zodiac signs

There are twelve signs, and each covers 30° of the Sun’s yearly path. Your sun sign is the one the Sun was in when you were born. The dates below are for this year, and they can move by a day from year to year.

Why isn’t Ophiuchus here?

Astronomers count a thirteenth constellation on the Sun’s path, and it comes up every few years. Western astrology does not use the constellations. It divides the year into twelve equal signs from the spring equinox, so nothing changes for your sign.
